A Russian ban on U.S. gaming platform Roblox has fuelled debate among some children and parents about censorship and the utility of bans in a world where children can bypass limits with a few clicks.

The research firm said they are positive on RBLX’s longer-term positioning in the video game ecosystem but think shares could take a breather in 2026 from engagement headwinds, slowing bookings growth, and margin compression.

On December 16, Wilson confirmed that his office issued a Civil Investigative Demand to Roblox under the South Carolina Unfair Trade Practices Act. The demand seeks information on how Roblox moderates content, markets to minors, and represents safety protections to parents.
